ARMY INTER CORPS INDOOR HOCKEY TOURNAMENT
ALDERSHOT 18-19 OCTOBER 2011

Results

The Inter Corps Indoor Hockey Tournament for both male and female Corps teams will take place at the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre (AGSC) over the period 18th-19th October 2011. The tournament will run over two days, all of the ladies matches will be played on the second day.

Some Corps have not paid their entry/Affiliation fee and I would be grateful to receive cheques from those Corps who have not paid at the earliest opportunity, certainly before the Indoor Competition commences. See Para 6.

TIMINGS AND DRAW

Matches will commence at 09.55 Day 1 and 08.55 hours Day 2. The Men’s final will take place at 1720 hours. The ladies final will take place at 1640 hrs, please support these games. The draw with teams drawn into the following Pools.

The draw for Pools was made independently of the AHA Office.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS BRIEFING

The Tournament Director is Mr Les Hunter who will not require teams to come forward for an early morning briefing. A written brief is attached and team managers are asked to report to the Tournament Director on arrival, and if they have any queries regarding his instructions, raise them at that time.

RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT

Annex C is a copy of the Rules of the Tournament, please read carefully.

ENTRY FEES

A number of teams have still not paid their affiliation fees and I would be grateful for a cheque made payable to the ASCB Central Bank and sent to the AHA office before the Tournament commences. Teams will not be allowed to compete without payment of the fee.

PRIZE GIVING

The presentation of trophies will be made immediately after the final match on Wednesday 19th October and the Chairman AHA has requested that all teams taking part be present for the prize giving ceremony. Please would last year’s winners in both men’s and ladies competitions ensure that trophies are returned to the AHA office in a clean and engraved condition ready for presentation.

TEAM COLOURS

Team Managers are to ensure that a second strip and a change of socks are brought with them in the event of a colour clash. The second named team in the draw will be required to change if the Tournament Director considers that a change is necessary. The Tournament Director’s decision will be final.

COMBINED SERVICES INDOOR COMPETITION

The Inter Comd/Corps and the Inter Services Indoor Competitions will take place at agsc Collingwood on the 16th – 17th November 2011. Two Corps teams will go forward from the Army Tournament to the Inter Comd/Corps Tournament along with the Army Men, Ladies, Army U23 and Masters Teams to the Inter Services Competition.

FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS

The Army Inter Corps Indoor Tournament will be supported by the AGC and the staff of the Aldershot Garrison Sports Centre. Enquiries may be directed to the Secretary AHA if any further details are required.

There is to be no flash photography at Indoor hockey.
